radio
I’ve had a number of broadcasting jobs over the years, starting out as a DJ on adult contemporary and Top 40 radio stations during my high school and college years. While studying journalism at Iowa State University, a professor recommended me for a student board-op position at the NPR station on campus, which led to a wide-ranging public radio career including reporting and editorial roles, and ultimately a drive-time anchor position in a major market.
